Do you have a fabulous holiday party on your calendar this season? Something that makes you want to go above and beyond your normal night-on-the-town makeup?

Maybe something worthy of the New York runways? Artistry Creative Director for Makeup Design Rick DiCecca created just such a look for the rollout of Pamella Roland’s Spring 2020 collection at New York Fashion Week (NYFW®*).

A face chart showing Rick DiCecca's makeup design lies on a table next to Artistry makeup products needed to create it at New York Fashion Week.

An ‘homage to glamour’

Pamella Roland’s collection was designed to celebrate of the evolution of her brand, Rick said.

“This look was designed to pay homage to the glamour of her iconic work. My goal was to create a ‘glass’ effect on the skin with a gilded foil shadow and dramatic, luminous eyeliner on the eyes to convey the risk and romance of these pieces,” he said.

Prepare your skin

Cleanse normally. After using Artistry Hydra-V™ Fresh Toner and Artistry Signature Select™ Personalized Serum with Hydration and Brightening Amplifiers, treat the skin under the eyes with Artistry Hydra-V™ Refreshing Eye Gel Cream.

Next, hydrate your skin with Artistry Hydra-V™ Replenishing Cream. Then apply Artistry Hydra-V™ Sheer Weightless Foundation SPF 15 to the face and Artistry Exact Fit® Perfecting Concealer to the eyelids.

Color your cheeks

While your foundation is still damp, lightly blend the Artistry Studio™ Parisian Edition Cheek & Lip Duo in Polaris Pink or Rouge onto the apples of your cheeks, sweeping it along the cheekbone.

Follow that with light sweeps of Artistry Studio™ Bangkok On-the-Go Palette Highlighter Shade #4 onto the top of your cheekbones to your temples and onto the cupid’s bow of your lip to unify the highlight and create a “glass finish” on the skin.

Eyes are next

For your eyes, start by applying Artistry Studio™ Bangkok Shimmering Cream Eye Shadow in Gold Crush to your eyelid from the upper lash line, blending up over the lid and into the crease. Apply the same shade along the inner 2/3 of the lower lash line.

Next, mix the white shade from Artistry Studio™ Parisian Edition Eye Shadow Palette in City of Lights with a little water to form a paste. Apply that to the outer corners of your eyes, creating a wing effect. Also apply it to the outer third of the lower lash line using the Artistry Liner/Brow brush. Intensify the white liner wings on the outer corners of the eye to make it pop!

Long lashes and beautiful brows

Moving on to your lashes, apply Artistry Studio™ Bangkok Mascara Base Primer to the top lashes. Using the multi-row side of the Artistry Studio™ Lash Boosting 3-in-1 Mascara wand, sweep mascara over the top and then under the upper lashes.

Twist the wand to condense the bristles and apply mascara to lashes by wiggling the multi-row side of wand at lash roots as you’re applying it. Finish with the wand fully extended and using the single “Mohawk” row, sweep through lashes to add length and definition.

Shape and define your eyebrows to your desired look with the Artistry Studio™ Parisian Edition 3-in-1 Brow Shaper. Whatever shape you choose, ensure your brows are even.
