When it comes to makeup trends on display this fall, Artistry™ Global Makeup Artist Rick DiCecca said one word comes to mind: personalized.
“There are so many different trends right now, and there are really no rules,” he said. “People are doing what they want to do.”
He’s seeing bold colors on eyes and lips as well as more natural colors with luminous highlights.
“Instead of contouring, people are doing a lot of highlighting,” he said. “Like a gold or silver highlight just above the cupid’s bow on their lips. It adds an extra bit of drama. These trends are perfect for the new Artistry Studio™ collection, because there’s something for everyone.”

Artistry Studio™ Limited Edition Illuminating Light Up Compact is perfect for creating a golden cupid’s bow, right above the lip.
How do you choose?
If you’re not sure what look is for you, just take some time and try them out, Rick said.
“Makeup should be fun,” he said. “Have fun practicing and find the trends that are best for you; there is no one trend for everyone. Women of all ages can take a bit of a trend here and a bit of a trend there and personalize it.”
Wondering where to start? Rick chose a few of his favorite looks and paired them up with the latest Artistry products. (See links on where to get them at the end!)
Luminous eye
Rick sees many people sporting a luminous wash of color over their eyelids paired with a bright liner along lower lashes.
The Artistry Studio™ On-the-Go Face & Eye Palettes in such as Midtown Medium or Liberty Light can be used to create this look, Rick said.
“Shades one and two of any of the palettes or shade six of any of the palettes can be used as a sheer wash of color over the lids, and the liner would be Tribeca Teal from the Artistry Studio™ Limited Edition 2-in-1 Eye Sticks.”
Are earth tones more your style? Rick suggests going for the matte suede look on your eyelids. You can achieve that with the Artistry Studio™ On-the-Go Face & Eye Palettes shades three and four in Midtown Medium or Liberty Light.

The Artistry Studio™ Limited Edition 2-in-1 Lip Sticks are great for creating a bold, statement lip.
The statement lip
If you like to show off your lips, this season has your style with the statement lip – choose your favorite brightest color and have some fun.
Rick said any of the shades of Artistry Studio™ Limited Edition 2-in-1 Lip Sticks will meet your needs, such as Big Apple Red or Park Avenue Pink.
“They’re all very bright,” he said.
Want something a little more subdued? Choose a golden cupid’s bow by adding a little shimmer just above your lip, right where the light naturally hits, creating a radiant glow.
The luminescent white pearl or the soft peachy-pink gold from the Artistry Studio™ Limited Edition Illuminating Light Up Compact in Broadway Lights will give you what you’re looking for.

A model for Pamella Roland at New York Fashion Week (NYFW®) provides an example of the no-makeup makeup look.
No-makeup makeup look
Also popular this season, and similar to what Rick created for Pamella Roland’s recent show at New York Fashion Week (NYFW®), is the luminous skin created by the no-makeup makeup look.
To create this, use the hydration booster and the brightening booster in the new Artistry Signature Select™ Personalized Serum followed by your moisturizer and then Artistry Hydra-V™ Sheer Weightless Foundation.
