5 ways to support your optimal health and nutrition

Supporting your health and nutrition may seem like a simple goal, but there are several ways you can go about it. So many, in fact, that if you made a list, it would be overwhelming.

Nearly everything you do or don’t do has an effect on your health and nutrition, from the things you put into your body to the environments surrounding it. Your body is really an ecosystem where all things are connected.

If you want to make real changes for the better, it’s best to focus your efforts. Here are some key areas you can prioritize for your own personal health and nutrition goals.

Take steps toward healthier cooking

Better health and nutrition is all about balance. While a healthy diet includes some fats, you don’t want an overabundance of it. One way to reduce fat intake is to reduce the amount used during cooking.

Nonstick cookware is an easy way to do that. You need little or no added butter or oils when sautéing up your favorite dishes in a quality nonstick pan.

Cleanup is super easy, too, making the whole experience more enjoyable. If it’s time to treat yourself to a new pan, consider iCook™ Nonstick Cookware from Amway. It has excellent heat distribution and the Duramic™ nonstick coating means foods slide right off and you can clean up in a snap.

Improve the air you breathe

Did you know that the US Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the air in our homes can be up to five times more polluted than the air outside? And have you thought about how much time you’re spending at home these days?

Whether it’s pet dander, cleaning supplies, contaminants from new furniture or flooring, or the airborne viruses, bacteria and other allergens that are present in even the most spotless homes – your body is putting up a welcome sign with every breath.

Improve the air you breathe in your home with an air filtration system. At minimum, choose one with a HEPA filter, which removes 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. (For comparison, the average human hair is 5 microns wide!)

You can also find one that goes beyond HEPA standards. The Atmosphere Sky™ Air Treatment System from Amway has 3 filters to capture 99.99% of particles as small as .0024 microns from air passing through the system. That’s 125 times smaller than the particles captured by standard HEPA filters – and 1/40th the thickness of a human hair.

The Atmosphere Sky is designed for spaces up to 465 square feet, making it ideal for your home office or whatever room you are using as your home office. You’ll be breathing cleaner air in no time.

Healthy looking skin is beautiful skin

A regular skincare routine of cleansing, toning, treating and moisturizing is the least you can do to support healthy looking skin. But you should choose your products carefully.

Your skin has certain nutritional needs just like your body does. And when your skin gets what it needs, it’s better able to protect itself and repair its appearance.

Researchers for Artistry™ skincare products formulated the Artistry Skin Nutrition™ line to work like supplements for your skin, addressing the universal skin nutritional needs to purify, balance, rebuild, moisturize and protect your skin.

Plus, the line is vegan, paraben-free, never tested on animals and includes Nutrilite botanicals that are traceable right down to the plot on the Nutrilite farm where they were grown so you know they are pure, safe and effective. There are a variety of cleansers, toners, gels, and creams so you can personalize your regimen for your specific needs.

Fill your nutritional gaps

This is one of the simplest ways to support your health and nutrition goals. Make sure you’re getting all the nutrients you need by supplementing your diet with vitamins and minerals.

No matter how many healthy choices you make when it comes to your meals, research shows that most people aren’t getting the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables each day. That means they’re also falling short of the recommended amounts of nutrients and phytonutrients that come with them.

A daily multivitamin provides a good foundation. But our bodies have multiple nutritional needs, so you might want additional supplements. The Nutrilite™ Men’s Pack and the Nutrilite™ Women’s Pack eliminate the guesswork by grouping together daily doses of supplements targeting specific needs for men and women.

While they both contain Nutrilite™ Daily multivitamin/multimineral and Nutrilite™ Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables, the Men’s Pack also has Nutrilite™ Balanced Health Omega to support brain and eye health† and Nutrilite™ Vitamin C Extended Release for immunity support.†

The Women’s Pack includes Nutrilite™ Cal Mag D for bone health† and Nutrilite™ Hair, Skin & Nail Health, which contains biotin and collagen to promote strong, flexible nails, support healthy hair and encourage smooth, elastic skin.†

Get more sleep

Our bodies need a certain amount of sleep to function at their best because they perform all kinds of repair and maintenance on our internal organs and muscles while we’re snoozing. Sleep also plays a critical role in maintaining the memory center in our brains and helps restore our chemical balance. Studies have shown that lack of sleep also impacts your immune system.

But many of us don’t realize all the things that can contribute to lack of good-quality sleep. There are many factors like diet (including caffeine or alcohol before bed), lack of exercise, staying up too late or engaging in stimulating activities before bed.

Try to improve your sleep habits by limiting daytime naps and establishing a nightly routine that encourages rest, including silence or white noise, darkness and a regular bedtime.

Many people still swear by a glass of warm milk, but you can also consider caffeine-free sleep tea or supplements. Nutrilite™ Sleep Health contains a proprietary blend of valerian, hops and lemon balm, which is designed to help you relax so you can fall asleep†.

You could also try n* by Nutrilite™ Sweet Dreams – Sleep Gummies made with melatonin and passionflower to promote good sleep†, or n* by Nutrilite™ Take a Sec Relax Tea. The tea features a custom blend of hibiscus, lavender and chamomile to bring out your inner calm.
