It’s the iconic symbol of being the last team standing and named number one in the final Amway Coaches’ Poll. Only the best earn the right to victoriously hoist it in the air amid roaring crowds and triumphant players.
But you don’t have to be the best to see the American Football Coaches Association Coaches’ Trophy presented by Amway up close. You just have to be a fan!
Hitting the road
As part of Amway’s commitment to #inspiredcoaching and its sponsorship of the Amway Coaches’ Poll, the AFCA Coaches’ Trophy presented by Amway is going on tour during the NCAA college football season. It will appear at pre-game festivities throughout the season, kicking off Sept. 1 in South Bend Indiana when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish hosts the University of Michigan Wolverines.
Fans can line up to get their picture taken with the trophy and possibly meet former college players and coaches who are all too happy to share the inspired coaching philosophy with true fans of the sport.
“The crystal ball is the symbol of supremacy in college football,” said Jim Ayers, managing director of Amway North America. “When I see a coach being presented with the trophy as national champions, and he holds it up and passes it around to his team, I know that they’re feeling that all of their hard work and dedication has paid off.
“It’s so rewarding to witness firsthand what Amway believes so strongly in: rewarding coaches for leading their teams to success.”
