Sweepstakes Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 am on April 18, 2019 and ends at 11:59 pm on July 1, 2019.

A) To Enter:

Visit www.amwayconnections.com and post your own hashtag to describe the decade portrayed in each of the anniversary blogs when indicated for a chance to win. In the final blog, complete the crossword puzzle and send to [email protected] for a chance to win. One entry per person per blog post (up to 10 separate entries).

Total approximate retail value of the entire Sweepstakes is US $501.50.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.  Prizes are non-refundable and non-redeemable.  All other expenses not specified are the sole responsibility of the winners.  All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted, except Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value.  All prizes will be awarded.

C) Winner Selection:

Winners will be selected randomly by using a computer-generated application tool on or about July 2, 2019 from among all eligible entries received during the Entry Period.  Determination of winners will be the responsibility of Sponsor, whose decision will be final and binding in all matters related to this Sweepstakes.

Winners will be notified by email and/or telephone.  If a winner cannot be notified within five (5) business days, does not meet eligibility, or does not comply with Sweepstakes rules, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.  In the event a prize winner is unable to redeem the prize due to reasons beyond their control no compensation or substitutions will be provided.

U.S. persons (including resident aliens) must complete a W-9 Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification form prior to gift being awarded.  This is a requirement of the Internal Revenue Service for purposes of exempting Winner from backup withholding.  Under certain conditions, 28% of amounts paid to Winner would be withheld and remitted to the IRS, absent the completion of this form.  Winner will not be subject to backup withholding on payments received if the correct information is provided on Form W-9.  If Winner is not a U.S. person, the appropriate Form W-8 needs to be completed prior to gift being awarded.

Winners agree that Sponsor shall have the right and permission to use winners’ name, pictures, likeness and/or voice in any media for trade, advertising, promotional and/or other purpose in any media now or hereafter known without any further consideration except where prohibited by law.

D) Eligibility:

This Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents that are 18 years of age or older at time of entry.  All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.  Void in Rhode Island and where prohibited by law.

E) General Conditions:

All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned.  By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor and its agencies, officers, directors, agents, and employees are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:  (1) garbled, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, stolen, late, lost, or failed electronic entries; (2) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties of any kind including any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes; (3) errors or delays in transmission; (4) any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor which may cause the Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; (5) any losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance or use of the prize, or from participation in the Sweepstakes, or (6) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes.  The Sponsor may prohibit you from participating in the Sweepstakes if, at its sole discretion, you repeatedly show a disregard for the Sweepstakes Official Rules, or act:  (a) in a manner they determine to be not fair or equitable including the use of automated processes or devices not valid for entry; (b) with an intent to annoy, threaten or harass any other entrant or the Sponsor; or (c) in any other disruptive manner.  Sponsor reserves the right in their sole discretion to cancel, terminate or suspend this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, systems malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor and their agencies corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Sweepstakes. CAUTION:  ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
